"A Pair of Pure Evil" by Kerri Jurgens

These are two of my characters, Maia (the dragon) and Aeventhrai (the tricorn). Maia is a human with the ability to transform into a dragon about the size of a house, although she can make herself smaller if she wishes. Her mother is silver and her father is black, but due to some abuse she received as a child, her black side completely overcame the silver. She murdered her own adopted family, and faked her own death, and then plotted against her queen with her allies of werewolves and vampires, to overthrow that kingdom and rule with an iron claw.

Aeventhrai used to be a unicorn, but Maia, whilst out hunting, came across him. She cut his neck (you might be able to see the scar) and willingly forced her own dragon's blood into the wound. The white unicorn, a purity that Maia hated, was transformed into a massive red and black stallion that gave her his utmost loyalty. He gained some draconic traits, such as spines on his back, the horns on his face and legs, and the wings, which are too small for him to fly with. He is also able to cast a Disguise, and appears as a large dark strawberry roan war-horse. The scars on his hindquarters are a result of a smaller, but furious Maia going into a fit of absolutely destructive rage, and he happened to be too close.

Many are terrified when they see a young human girl walking with a giant of a horse following close behind, as Aeventhrai is never able to hide his vicious nature, and will attack any enemy unless Maia instructs him not to. And they are exactly as the title says.
