The carbuncle comes from a French dragon, named Vouivre, wich had a third eye on his forehead, a red gem (a carbuncle) This is a personal version of the carbuncle, I tried to give him a look more like a faery dragon

awesome. I love the 'painterly' texture 2 Seems pretty well balanced in my opinion, nice eye candy!

Excellent artwork. I can't really say much, it's far too breathtaking. Full props.

Mina, you got some serious skills. You must already be working full time as an illustrator. And if you aren't there's so much potential here that has to go out to the public.

I really like your work. My girlfriend is a study'ing medical student and I know from quizing her for hours with flash cards, that a carbuncle is also a cluster of boils.

Awwww! He's cute... In a... Twisted kind of way! But that's ok... Cause it's just about the best fairy dragon i've even seen. You're very talented... But you prolly dont need me to tell you that one! ::Giggles:: Great work and keep it up!

Looks like it's suppose to! Carbuncles were often thought of as little dragons with ruby stones in their foreheads that if removed would grant someone immunity to a lot of things that bring about death. Probably why carbuncles died out...

AWWWWWWW! It's so cute! I want one! ^_^ I never heard the, um, legend of the carbuncle before. All I knew of it was what I've seen in final fantasies... Hm. Ineresting. Anyhoo, this is absolutley goregous (and cute!) and its pose is perfect (and cute!). I also like the almost metalic texture on him (or her?) and the gem on his (her?) forehead is very smooth and pretty. Great job!

That's funny, since a carbuncle is actually a group or clustering of boils, which are severe pimple like blisters. Very painful, contagious and ugly. Who the heck decided that a carbuncle was a "gem?"

But anyway, all that stuff aside. This is a very nice drawing. You have done a great job. Keep it up!
