WOW This is really weird. Me and my husband just had our baby and we named her Arwyn. Of course after the Tolkien character, but I didn't think that anyone else had her name, especially spelled like we did. Lo and behold, we were wrong. I just typed her name in Yahoo, and your site came up. Well, at least when she gets older, I can prove to her that she is not the only one.

My three year old granddaughter is named Arwen. I love her name as it fits her perfectly. She has long blond wavy hair and big blue eyes with a cleft in her chin. Glad to see someone shares her name.

I'm so glad to find so many Arwyns and Arwens here! We named our daughter, born March 2002, Arwyn after the Tolkien character (and it is also a real Welsh name meaning "friend" in ancient German - Visigoth?). My husband is English and wanted a name from there. His first pick was Eowyn but I preferred Arwyn. It was going to be Arwen but I liked the y spelling better. Her little brother, now 2, is named Evan. I noticed there was an Arwen Evans who posted too. At summer camp Arwyn was best friends with a girl called Pippin, short for Perigrin (sp?) after the Hobbit friend. When I searched the internet for Arwyn/Arwen all I found was an assault riffle and some porn stars. And a girl who makes flutes. This is soooo coool! My nephews do artwork of a similar style so my Arwyn has a bit in common with you.
