I love this painting. I had this calender picture that was very similar, so I decided to alter it. I love it. I did it a few years ago. The only things I need to fix are her arms need to be longer and she needs more curves! But, I love the colors. (oh yeah... it was to big for my scanner so i scanned it in parts and put it together like a puzzle- but its all there) Acrylic Paint on Canvas Put together with Photo Studio 2000 SE

I'm glad you like it (can't you tell my favorite color is blue?) I'm trying to work on some more finished peices like this- for right now I'm afriad I just have sketches up. But I like them too- you can analyze and see the thinking process. ANyways~ thanks!"

12 Jan 2003	Aleija Hampton	Loading... The use of blue in this is very eye-catching and I like the way you have blended the colours. It has a definite deep sea appearance. The shadow of the mermaid on the sea floor is a nice touch too. Ashley Lasnetski replies: "Thanks, blue is my favorite color- can't you tell. Yeah, i really liked how the black shadows make the ocean seem endless..."
18 Apr 2003	Mandy Elliott	Loading... I love it too, mostly because its blue, but also because when i look at it, i see my life. How im plunging into the deep dark blue where i cant see whats infront of me and everything is chance... Then again, maybe i think to much. Ashley Lasnetski replies: "Isn't blue the best color??? I like your intepretation... I never thought of it like that but I like it!"
24 Nov 2003	Lee Elizabeth Pike	Loading... I love the 'spittles' of white reflecting the light. This really conveys a sense of delving down into the depths of the ocean- it just swallowed me in!
