  | This is my second try at drawing my main character, Arianna. (look here for my first try, which was sometime way back in '03! http://elfwood.lysator.liu.se/art/a/s/ashver17/elfwoodarrianna_color.jpg.html ). I've had this image of her in my head since I started writing her character. There's a lot of similarities between the two pictures. Anyway, Arianna's just a regular 20-something year old girl who gets transported to another realm and is swept up into an adventure full of Elves, Dragons, Wizards, Princes and Villians. She is the Savior of the realm, whether she wishes to be or not, for she was appointed by the Goddess Seren. Arianna, at first, has no magical abilities, but when living with Elves, one may perhaps pick up on their magic if they are open enough. =) Her newly found magical ability happens to be a plot twist. ;D I apologize if this looks too yellow. I wanted it to be embued with a golden luster. I was meaning to draw a field of wheat in the background, for it is kind of symbolic to her character, however I never got around to it. I also like the white sparkles on her hair, however my mother did not, stating that it looked like lice...haha =P This was originally supposed to be a part of a book cover of sorts, for my novel, and it still might be, as the picture itself is saved in parts. I plan to do portraits of my other characters; her comrads/companions in the adventure. PS 7.0 and WaCom Tablet, I lost track of the hours, but this is one of my first completely digital, drawn from scratch, PS painting. =) Arianna and her story are copyrighted to me. |
