This is a scene from my novel where my main character Arianna loses her sister, Audrey. An assassin is sent to capture Arianna and Audrey from the Castle, and a struggle ensues, and the Assassin only captures Audrey, as Arianna is saved by her talking cat, Midnight. =D

Eric, the Prince of the realm, is the guy on the left in the background. The Elvenprince, Nickevin, is on the right with his arm in the sling.

Here is an excerpt:

"“RELEASE HER!” Eric bellowed, running toward the assassin. But he was too quick for Eric who over swung, not even grazing the murderer.

Knowing that more help would inevitably be on its way, the Assassin ran to Arianna and heaved her up, also. But Midnight came to the rescue once more, jumping up and clawing at his arm. Arianna screamed and Eric righted himself for another attack. Releasing Arianna in the pain, he threw Midnight off of himself for the last time and turned, ready to deal with Eric. But it was too late, he could hear others rushing down the hallway and he could feel the beginnings of a spell starting to form. There must be a Wizard with them. So he made one last mad grab for Arianna. Eric, however, whipped his sword and cut the assassin in the arm. Screaming with fury he abandoned Arianna, climbed up on the window sill and jumped nimbly out without a backward glance.

“NOOO!” Arianna screamed desperately, pulling herself up to the window and looking out, but seeing nothing. Only the wind blew. “Audrey…” she whispered, grasping futilely at nothing in her anguish."

There you go. I hope you like. This is the most detailed picture I've drawn to date, and it took me about three months of on and off work, too. =D AND this was done with absolutely NO references. Be proud, be very proud!! lol.

Holy wow.. This just flabberghasted me. I'll start out by saying my favorite part is Arianna herself. Her hair looks so real! Her face and expression are right on and I love the way you did her collar bone.. her hands are Great, she's gorgeous!
When I finally forced myself to take my eyes off her I noticed how detailed and intricate the background was. Each brick stone is expertly crafted, the drapes dramatically flyin out the window w/ all those folds. I can see all the little leaves in the vines and that unicorn mural in the background adds so much.. I just can't find enough words for this, you did really awesome and I hope you never stop doing artwork.
