This was done as a project for British Lit. just a few weeks ago, where we had to illustrate a scene from Beowulf. i chose to illustrate 'Beowulf's Last Battle'. This is one of my pictures that i had to draw, i had to draw five. three of them i rushed on and are crappy, and the other one is soon to be uploaded or is already along with this one, i haven't decided. This one is by far the best out of the five. it's only my second *real* drawing of a dragon. it took me forever! Poor thing dies in the end though. sad. hehe. but not before charring Beowulf!

i had old english writing that i had drawn, but i took it off because it was crooked and it didn't do anything for the p;icture itself. It read 'The Dragon flys out of his tower'. *shrugs*

also i wish to point out that this is truly how i envision dragons to look like: serpintine/birdish, with no scales and opposable thumbs! hope you like!

Medium: Prismacolor pencils and PSP7

Wow.. The dragon came out looking extremely glorious and yet frightening, bewildering. This is an excellent piece of work. I really like the form and physical attritubes you've chosen for the dragon, it does look quite strong and yet not too bulky, just glorious like a pegasus. The colors remind me of a magical or mystical dragon of some sort. Great job! 2
