"Merope Gaunt and Tom Riddle" by Ashley *Celesta* Versaggi

This is Merope Gaunt and Tom Riddle, which was directly inspired by JKR's Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. I haven't illustrated any of the characters in a long time, and am going for the more obscure characters. I had, at first, wanted to do a Gaunt family portrait, with her brother, Morfin, because he intrigues me. But it ended up being Merope and Tom. Tom, being the regal noble that he is, looks down upon Merope as though she is nothing but dung under his nose. Merope, heavy with child and smitten for Tom, tosses her love potion away in hopes that he could love her on his own, which of course, as we know, he cannot. If you will notice her eyes, turned in opposite directions, as is described in the book by JKR.
