	'The women wasn't beautiful, far from it, but there was something there lurking behind her knowing smile that made the company stop what they were doing and stare....' This is done with graphite and then inked in certain spots. Different technique for me.

7 May 2003	Sarah Dobie	Loading... I like this one but I think it would look much better if you shaded the hair a little. Although it would also look fantastic in colour.. Aubry Chapman replies: "Hi Sarah, Yes I purposely only shaded her face and nothing else, it was all part of "the Plan" such as it was. Just a study in the face. "
7 May 2003	Alison Alene Mutton	Loading... This technique is really interesting! It really draws attention to her face. It fits the descriotion so well that I am considering whethere you drew, then wrote, or vise versa! Aubry Chapman replies: "HI Alene (I am guessing you prefer to be called that since its in stars) I am sadly enough one of those type of folks that can throw out a bunch of silly one sentences without thinking about it, so I definately drew first, but then that isn't 'always' the case. So umm...yeah it could have gone either way. Thanks for the comments on her. Like I said it is a new technique for me, and quite fun, I have a few more in the same vein that I may put up. Mixing realism with loose sketched hair...I think I just created a novel here, so sorry. "

Aubry Chapman replies: "Thanks its fun to try out new styles, but I think I have firmly settled into my pen and ink drawings for the most part now. (I guess I should branch out. hmmm) "
7 Jun 2003	Eva Gorup	Loading... Knowing smile! Very well put. I wouldn't want her to look at me that way, I think! I don't know the first thing about drawing, I'm afraid, but I do see the effect is great. I think doing anything else in any greater detail (including hair) would take away the emphasis. Aubry Chapman replies: "IT was a fun style to try for a while, I may touch upon it again sometime...but even though it looks finished to me, some people think its not. Oh well, I am sure your writing is the same, some people see your vision and others sadly do not. Thanks for coming and visiting me, come again please! "
