Laura de Lange

Laura is off her rocker in so many different ways...

Hiya! I am an average teenager who likes lounging around. I can be very determined if I need to be and I love rising to a challenge. This is my eye! *Points to strange picture*

I enjoy writing because then I can share ideas and thoughts with other people. I like to hypothesize and make up strange theories. Like this one theory I have that ideas are planted in people’s heads simultaneously from another dimension by some strange creatures that can see and interact with us, although we can’t do the same.

I like creating worlds and places with words and seeing if other people can see it too. All constructive critisism appreciated! If you hate it, or love it, please say so and give a way I can improve it!

Story Summaries

Welsh Aquatic Dragon - my first Elfwood poem. I went on a poetic spree in 2004 and have been dry since then ... until this baby. Please tell me what I am doing right and wrong as I know this is not a brilliant poem.

Changeling - (LATEST UPDATE! 22 June 06) my first fantasy story. I have rewritten this chapter, taking into account all the wonderful comments I got. Thanks! now, please read it again to check if it's any better! ; )

Grey - a VERY short idea of a story! Maybe about 50-60 words!

Light in Darkness - a story of being welcomed into hell. Very experimental (what isn't, now a-days?). I'm trying to find my style. Humorous.

Keeper of Tears - Just a short sketch of an idea I had. Wrote it between classes. I's about the Guardian of Tears.

Mind Reader - (LATEST UPDATE! 22 June 06) Just a story I wrote. Different point of view and just an interesting idea.

Holey Moley - my experimentation with style. A humorous story about a Guardian Angel for Moles. A fovorite of mine.

Moonshine - a short story for my friend Rachel who meets a faery.

Talking Heads - (LATEST UPDATE! 22 June 06) Actually an essay topic that I didn't chose to write about. But the possibilities were amazing. Kind of a hero story, but trying to keep it natural.

The Howling of the Wolf - an experimental warewolf story. Please ignore the first paragraph, I tried too hard.

Them -  A poem about all the mean things out there.

Are we there yet? - A story based in South Africa about finding a new world. Basically used as a way to describe the rain storms we've been having lately.

Zorilla - another experimental short story. Some mistakes in the plot line, otherwise it is one of my favorites. Humorous.

Recomended Reading for the day:

Zorilla

I'll be back to comment on the new and improved Changeling when my 'net ban is lifted. (I copied and pasted the others into Word and did comments there). Speaking of which... Shhh... I wasn't here. *looks around shiftily, sneaks out the back door*

12 Laura de Lange replies: "Oh no, what did you do to deserve a ban? Thanks for all the trouble on my behalf! "

9 Laura de Lange replies: "*Wipes tears away gently*Blythie, Blythie, Blythie. Don't feel hurt. You do know the definition of mute, don't you? It means I cannot speak to you of such things. Anyway, think about it ... when have I ever had the opportunity to tell you?

Why, exactly, am I explaining myself to you?!?Thanks for visitng Blythe. I really appreciate it. If you visit my space again and leave more comments as proof, you will get a cyber cookie. Of course, I would love critisism and what you thought of the stories, but if you just leave random comments saying hi, I'd still be happy. Really happy."

do you have an email address we can continue this conversation over coz im sure the rest of elfwood wants to listen to my brainless rambling, for some strange reason they seem to like yours though (just joking).

pioneering went suprisingly well as in we acually go the project standing (gasp) and i accually worked (bigger gasp).

Hello! [waves enthusiastically] You're sister has been over in my library, making herself busy, and since she doesn't have any stories she told me to check out yours, and now I feel like I've been here... before? A.. very long time ago... [timewarp-ness causes eye-crossing from Beth]

1 Laura de Lange replies: "I do believe I have seen you here before ... [timewarp-ness consumes Laura aswell]. Thanks for popping by again!"

Hi, just checking up on you. Like the Light Princess says "I have a curious feeling sometimes, as if I were the only person that had any sense in the whole world.”
It's everyone else that's crazy!
