	Captain Maybellena Malen, of the merchantman Smiling Lion. She is part Sphynx, part Centaur, part human, but all heart. The left half of her head is covered with cornrows, but the hair on the right side is bound with the ribbon which came loose from her daughter's hair during a pirate attack, when the child was captured by the enemy.
