I suppose you can call that a request for my parents from my grandparents...weird story. Anyway, they asked for something not 'scary or weird', if I remember correctly. Alright, so that means no dragons and people dying, but light surrealism is fine.
This is what I came with. The part you don't see because I'm a bloody lousy photographer is a small white smiling mask hanging in the window, and the moon shining through it, casting a sad mask shade on the wall.

I looked into the night sky and was pulled into the stars... this painting reminds me of that dream. Whatever the inspiration was for this, I think you should look deeper into it. 1 Jul 2003	Aeternus Spero	Loading... Wow, this is lovely. I marvel at the incredible colors, and the surrealism is great! It's so dreamy, like she's looking at her own mask of life and then realizing that when it's put up to the light, it's just a gloomy shadow. That's all masks are. L'chaim!

But I have no idea how to draw, so I can't tell you how to make it look like that..maybe make the moon bigger/brighter? I don't know. I'm no help. sorry . But it's pretty. I love the girl. And the covers. Both have so much detail.. amazing.
26 Jan 2004	Vercertorix	Loading... Not really about the picture but the comments above it. I never showed my parents anything I drew like that. Didn't do anything too terrible but also didn't want to have a "talk" about them. I did weird stuff because it appealed to me. Still haven't got coloring down which you've done good on throughout the work in your gallery.
