What up death? Er, 'scuse me, hello all! Welcome to my little burrow in the woods... it may be messy, but it's home. ;P Yep, yep. Below, you'll find my humble attempt to contend with the Gods of Elfwood (San, Adele, Elisabeth... and so many others). Artistically, I have no clue what I'm doing. I would *love* to explore more historically influenced styles, as
Elisabeth Alba does, but I'm having a hard time, so I just continue to sketch pointlessly, which does nothing for honing any skills. Darn, but I guess you'll have that. I'm starting to write more original stuff (I had a looong dry spell, which was perpetuated by simming, work, etc), which is always a plus, and some of it is even fantasy! Yay! Or something.
As for stats and what-have-you, I'm a senior this year (obligatory cheer: Woohoo! Last year of HS!) and am clueless about the rest of my life. Hopefully going to major in creative writing (but who knows, by the second year, I may be planning to be a marine biologist... though I doubt that - just trying to say I'm fickle, hehe), with a minor in theatre, but who knows. I'm really hoping I can test out of several classes, so that I have time for more interesting ones, hehe.

I adore comments, and would love constructive criticism (While everyone needs to hear 'you suck' once in a while, it'd be nice to be told *why* and how to improve, hehe). I have issues with art classes, so I'm pretty much self-taught and will stay that way. And not that anyone's really interested, but I've been known to do art trades or requests, however, I can be slow, so keep that in mind. :)

I think I should try it again some time X) Me gives criticism. Or more like suggestions. Your pics are a bit one-sided... I'd love to see some less-clothed males here for a change, and drawings of a bit more different-looking people otherwise too, these look more or less the same (i.e. "perfect" women...) Also some more colour would be a nice touch. Ahh... What do you say if I offered to colour (with my comp of course) one pic of yours? I'd like to =D AV Salois replies: "Yeah, I usually use photo references, though lately I haven't been (and they've turned out *okay*, surprisingly! Haven't had time to upload them yet, though, what with graduation, etc). Ooh, I have *such* trouble with males... I've drawn a couple and they look pretty good, but they're not fantasy - just me trying to figure out how to draw guys. That's the next step, hehe. Yeah, most of them are "perfect" women, but that's because they're the easiest to draw - less character imbued in their faces, etc. I have this one drawing that I keep working on now and again of an old witch and her cat, but... I dunno, doesn't quite look right to me and I don't want to post it (maybe after I've worked on it some more). And colour? I'm awful with colour. Worse than drawing males, hehe. But if you wanted to colour *anything*, I'd be soooo thrilled!! Honoured, in fact! Thank you very much for your comments! I appreciate all that you've said!" | |
