I did this piece after Elfwood artist Mark Andrew Goldfine invited me to do a picture of his character Angelique for a tour he is planning. For better or worse this is what I came up with. Angelique with a couple of lesser vampire slaves to do her bidding. Paper, pencil and photoshop enhanced contrast.

Oooooh, she's got attitude. I LIKE that! I'd only critique that her legs seem to be a bit too far apart to really match the attitude she's emitting (personal taste likely more than anything) but I can't really fault anything else. Great shading, detail, anatomy.

2 Arthur L. Williamson replies: "Thanks for the comments Tricia. To be honest I'm not sure what you mean about the legs being too far apart but hey... maybe that just ain't your thing! Come back anytime."

Excellent pencil work!!!! I love her ankh!

57 Arthur L. Williamson replies: "Thanks for the comments Renata! The truth is that this is a really terrible scan because its on a piece of paper that was too big for my scanner. I had to scan it in two pieces and photoshop them together but then the two pieces weren't the exact same color so I had to play around with the contrast levels until I got this sort of washed out result. Someday I should go back and rescan it. Someday...."

Wow1 Very scary, and beautifully drawn Arthur, those lesser vampires are really scary.

1 Arthur L. Williamson replies: "Thanks a bunch Steph! I'm not really sure how in line with the creators vision this character is but I rather liked how it turned out."

I wanna draw Angelique! (of course I would also love to see someone else draw my friend's char, Raven... RAVEN NEEDS A TOUR!!)

11 Arthur L. Williamson replies: "Talk to the man, Mark Andrew Goldfine and I bet he would love to have you join his tour. Now as for this Raven person... Who is she and when do I draw her. "

She is basically an alter ego character for Sierra, although she has her own backstory (which I'm sure she would be glad to fill you in on). She also appears in Sierra's story in progress (Not Falling) as the protagonist against her... somehow related antagonist Angel who is really a demoness girl... (don't ask me, lol) She also appears in endless amounts of comic situations including the roles of heretic action character, somehow mother of a kangaroo furry, highschool dropout vampyre porn star, and just overall fed up with crap sensical ranter. (think foamy the squirel , lol) On the very comical side she has also been known in some comic strips to have breasts and hair that change size/length when she sneezes... (curse maybe? she loses so many leather outfits that way, lol) anyway, Sierra is always excited whenever people want to draw Raven, and would be overjoyed to have a Raven tour, so if you have any other artist friends who would possibly be interested, please pass this along to them and let me know so that I can start getting the tour together once they post. Basically I am looking for any kind of action-y, dark, serious, or comical pictures to show the wide variety of situations she has come to embody... If you need to, just to feel safe, you can contact Sierra for permission, but I can guarantee that she really won't care, so you can go ahead and get started anytime you feel like it. It can be in colour or black and white. but please pass this along to others as well along with my email adress dementedelfm87@yahoo.com. Anyone else who reads this and would like to draw raven for my tour can also feel free to email me, and/or stop by Sierra Grillot's elfwood gallery

maybe I should have just mailed it, lol. You got all that, right?
