| 12 May 2005 | Valerie Joanne Higgins | Loading...Excellent drawing, could use a little more contrast but I suspect that is the effect of scanning? Love the stonework, Arthur L. Williamson replies: "Thanks Valerie! Truth is it probably isn't the scan. It is my complete inability to use soft pencil that keeps those contrasts low. " | |

| 20 Jul 2005 | Nelleke Pieters | Loading...ooow I looooove her look... though she doesn't looks like she'll get herself kidnapped that easilly Great pic, me loves the pose of the left (my left ^-^) guy... keep it up!!! Arthur L. Williamson replies: "Psssst...I'm gonna let you in on a little secret. She didn't get kidnapped. She is really a member of their gang. This was an illustration for a role playing game in which gamers were supposed to rescue her from some bandits when in fact she didn't want to be rescued. Alas the punk that comissioned this piece disappeared into thin air and never payed me. Therefore I have no regrets in laying the whole story out for all the world to see! Thanks again Nelleke!" | |
| 4 May 2006 | Patricia Faye Neal | Loading...Well, I love your drawings, all of them, you are a great artist. HOwever, the heads on your women seem to be quite small in proportion to their bodies. I know that all women, all people don't look perfect and don't all look alike, but this ladies head looks very small in comparison to her body. I mean, everything else looks cool, I just noticed that and her arms too. And it does seem to be a slight theme in your work. I don't know if it's intentional, or not. If it is then disregard this criticism. But anyway, that's my take on it all. I'm not meaning it to be cruel, just constructive. Great job on everything else however. Keep it up! Arthur L. Williamson replies: "Constructive criticism is great. I find it very helpful for people to point out problems so that I can work on them and improve my art. Small heads are definitely unintentional. I have a tendency to start drawing and not pay attention to the drawing until the end when its too late to make changes. Additionally some of these drawings were done after an extended break from drawing so they have certain flaws that I hope have worked themselves out in my newer work." | |
