Once more a work commissioned for an RPG. I was asked to create some sketches for different magical type users. This was the sketch that was chosen for a female type magical user. 8' X 11' on paper in pencil.

this is a truly amazing piece of art. You've got the shading just right.

2 Arthur L. Williamson replies: "Why, thank you!"

i love your style! where did you learn to create clothing like that too? i really need to work on creating clothing and it really doesn't seem to be going as planned. U_U;; i love the hand..thingies (not sure what they are. not really gloves and not really a gauntlet...whatever- they'er cool!). and again masterful job with the hands.

i also like how the neck is tilted. did you use a reference book for that? everytime i try to position the head like that the face looks all squished. amazing job!

2 Arthur L. Williamson replies: "I actually didn't use a reference book for this. The whole thing comes from my noggin. I actually don't know where I picked up clothing. Maybe from all those movies i waste my time watching. Tv shows and movies are a great source for costume ideas."

The braclets on her wrists..Are they of ancint origin or just of magick birth?

22 Arthur L. Williamson replies: "*bows low to the ground before the Leader of Forks* The bracelets are neither of ancint origin or of magick birth. They are in fact delicious pasteries coated with shiny, shiny frosting which provide sustenance for those long journeys to and fro in the big wide world."

Wow nice hair on her! Her expresion is awesome. Its as if she's in deep meditation on a spell she is about to cast. Great character design! I really like her, she's very pretty.

:-) Arthur L. Williamson replies: "I did spend an awfully lot of time on the hair so it's nice when people notice things like that!"

Im sry you have detail .... Alot already its just maybe you will want to darken and add a whole bunch of stuff like u did to hair sry my bad im dumb ok plz respond back to me k?

3 Arthur L. Williamson replies: "okay."

The hair is worked on alot i can see but since that is the main focus to people what your gona want to do is also put detail on other parts of your sorceress so it will match with the hair because the hair seems more darkened then everything els. this is a very good picture basicaly just wanted to let you know how good your pics could be if you darkened them a little. maybe 1 day I can see a picture of another sorceress in pen. maybe you geting into pen work will up your talent so much that your pictures will be ending up veeery good ( KEEP DRAWING LIKE YOU DO ) you have a very great gift from Dusk again yeah lol 2

1 Arthur L. Williamson replies: "Some of these are a little light becasue I fear dark pencil. Lately I have been playing around in photoshop to darken things up and bring out some color more. One day I may actualy do something in pen... it sure would make things much easier to color in PS!"

The hair is simply amazing! I love her face, it looks really cool with that shading. The pose is awesome too, along witht he clothing. I like how everything is being blown by the wind. Well done!

13 Arthur L. Williamson replies: "  Thanks Kamille! I tried to make even a somewhat static pose a little more exciting by putting some of the elements in motion. Probably shoulda added a background though."
18 Jul 2005:-) Katerina Koukiotis
I like her pose and you did a
wonderful job on the hair 2

2 Arthur L. Williamson replies: "Thank you Katerina!"
2 Dec 2005:-) Evren W.
I like this one of yours, she is beaitful. Everything looks so flawless.. to me at least. OMG and her hair!!! (By the way I have a strange obsession with hair) That hair is so cool! Awesome job!... I wish I could do that with a pencil. =)

1 Arthur L. Williamson replies: "Thanks Evie! I think you are much to kind in your praise... there is PLENTY wrong with this picture but I'm glad you like it."
4 May 200645 Patricia Faye Neal
This one is nice! I like it a lot because she's not all leggy like most of the drawn women in elfwood are. She's short and has the same body type as me! That is something I want to see more of. Great job!

1 Arthur L. Williamson replies: "Oddly enough I got a lot of criticism for that very same reason. Thanks for the comments Patricia!"
