Funny story about the hair... I can't actually remember what color I meant for it to be but I got to playing around with the layer settings in photoshop and PRESTO! blue hair which required little to no work in making it look reasonably cool so I kept it that way. I LOVE her hair and face, her expression is great. for some reason I would have done her hair in a braid, whipping out to the side, but thats just me. After all, it IS fantasy. You did a wonderful job with the colouring, you should colour more of your stuff. hehe. ok ... *FIRST COMMENNT JIG* bye.  Arthur L. Williamson replies: "Thanks for the comments! I wish I had more time to color crap but life feels the need to exert pressures from many sides and so I don't get the time to goof around on the computer as much as I would like. I have a couple pieces I would like to color in photoshop with out shading them first so I may spend the next four months trying to get that finished. I am also considering a combination of say, watercolors with photshop enhancements as well but we'll see what time allows. I do like how the coloring turns out so its definitely something I'd like to continue working on." | |
| 15 Oct 2005 |  Joanna "nerulean" Piancastelli | Loading... Wow, this is excellent for a first try  Naturally having great art to start with helps. You said in the description that you were colouring over a pencil sketch, but if you're doing that with transparencies and such you're giving yourself a much harder job than you need to. Set the sketch layer to multiply and make colour layers underneath it. Nice shaded sketches (like yours!) do not take long at all to colour this way. Arthur L. Its hard to say because its been a little while since I did this and I would only work on it for a few minutes a day." | |
