  | Adleza is a queen, misplaced by a rebirth gone wrong to the backwards planet of Earth. Sought out finally by the Emperor Haacim, she was returned to her former people to continue the tradition of her ancestral home. As queen of a small, poor planet that has not caught up with the technology prolific in much of the known universe, she has never lost sight of the irony that led her from being a citizen of a democracy to a ruler of an unrestricted monarchy. The cruel and power-hungry interim queen ruled with an iron fist for seventy years while Adleza was searched for- and was promptly executed when Adleza took power. Adleza is currently doing her best to restore order and peace, and trust, to a broken planet. Adleza is versed in the magical arts of her people, though she herself is not strong enough to do much beyond lighting a candle. Instead she prefers to trust in her diplomacy and if need be, her sword, to free her from tight situations. She communicates freely with some animals, primarily the ravens that flock to her castle. Rightly concerned with the welfare of her people, she often disguises herself as a traveler and rides her horse, Adelaar, to check up on her towns and villages. She is determined to root out every last one of the corrupt officials that seemed to proliferate under the rule of the interim queen. Adleza is tall, as tall or taller than most men. Her head of curly black hair falls just below her shoulders, and her bright green eyes have stared down many. Whatever ancestry she is from, she can never seem to hold a tan; indeed she often burns red quickly from exposure to direct sunlight, so avoids the midday sun whenever possible. Adleza is an unequivocal force of good. She strives to be fair and merciful, and bring true justice to her little planet, but she is also not a fool. She understands the backstabbing politics of the known universe and has little trust for anyone deeply involved in them. |
