You know those drawings of cube corners that can be interpreted as sticking out or in to the field of view? Well, I'm probably not explaining it well, but I have that problem with her tail - it keeps sticking out towards me when I'm pretty sure it should be further away. Perhaps extending the central line of her dorsal surface all the way to the flukes might help. But maybe not. The tail does bend there - I just am missing a cue as to how far - perhaps a skin fold such as one might expect to find where a body is bending towards itself? Giving a few more scale details in the upper fish portion might help, as we expect to lose detail with distance, especially underwater. Or maybe it's just me... Lee Wright Madison replies: "Well...this piece was something of a rush job and would be used on a badge for the convention, so I had to keep it simple. Sometime I'd like to do a better version of it." | |
