Really cool character designs... and I love the puppy! He's so cute! ^_^ Also, really neat mix of traditional and modern with the robot chic.

Well CAT, she's a robot or android. Just look at her hands and the facial seams for even more evidences. In fact, the rest of the team seemed to be made up of robots too, all except the gal in blue and her birdie. I'd dare guess further that AKON stands for Android Kommando ... 12

Here's some answers...

The "critter trooper" is a Raccoon. I like Raccooons.
The girl in red is a "Geishabot",a female robot( "Geishabot" is sooo much better than "Gynoid", don't you all think? ).
The green haired girl is an alien humanoid, not a robot, and she goes by the name of Strela.
The name Akon is a convention name. "Project Akon"(as a name...)was a takeoff on the anime "Project Ako", and as far as anime conventions go, can be as chaotic.
