Tag As FavoriteComment		I wanted a way to depict dragons as emotional, intelligent beings, rather than the cold, ruthless killers that they are too often depicted as in stories. For the longest time, I wondered how such a goal could be achieved. One day I found a bird with an injured wing, and I tried nursing it back to health, but it ended up dying. I remember how I felt when that happened, and as I drew this picture I had the same feeling. This dragon knows his friend is gone, he loved her, but there is nothing he could do, and he feels responsible. All he can do is hope that the faerie is in a better place.

Poor you, and poor dragon..what kind of bird was it?

I've had some sad experiences with birds, too. *sigh*
I like this.... the greyscale looks very nice. Looks like it's raining or misty. And I like how there's not a whole lot going on besides the dragon, it gives it kind of a lonely feel.

8 Once I found a baby mourning dove and I took it and fed it adn tok care of it for two weeks and it was growing feathers and walking around my room and on the last day of fith grade it died!!! *cries* Poor dragon...
