| 29 Nov 2003 | Dennis Drury | Loading...I take it you really like drow. Welcome to the woods; you are very good at your character pictures, and you do REALISM NOT ANIME (YES!!!!!!). I think you are exceptionally good at doing hands (as in "Drow Greetings" and "A Slice of Life"). I think hands are very hard to draw, and so it is great that you draw them so well. If you would like something to work on, I think that at times you draw the individual features of a face very well, but do not always have them in proportion or quite in the proper places. For example, in "Wisp's Call" the nose is a little too far to our left, or the mouth is a little too far to our right, or both; and her left eye seems too far to her left (our right), though that may be due to the fact that her nose is a little out of place. But that is a minor criticism, as your art is very good, much better than what a lot of us put out in the 'Woods. My favorite? Maybe the "Drow Archmage." I think that one is exceptionally good! Annette Y. Rust replies: "Thank you. I'm still working on doing people. Sometimes I get too going with the paint program and forget the over all piece. But hey it will work out in the end I'm sure. Yes, my fav is the Archmage. I just love how he came out too. I will be redoing Wisp's Call and fixing those areas. The drawing was pencil colored and didn't work out too well. So I'll have to do it all again. Right now just don't have the energy to do that but I will get around to it later this year. Thanks for the comments." | |
| 9 Dec 2003 | Katie | Loading...I love that you do Drow. And I worship the fact that you use characters from the series by R.A Salvatore. They are Beautiful! I have tried to do the same, but it is hard to do them justice. Annette Y. Rust replies: "I really like doing the drows and most likely will keep at it for a long time. So far Forgotten Realms has been the only series to inspire me to draw from it's pages and I'm enjoying it. I will be doing some halflings and a few humans. Don't know about dwarves yet. GRIN" | |

| 1 Mar 2004 | Annette Rust <jazelle@swo...cc> | Loading...Due to problems beyond Elfwood's and my control I am unable to upload any artwork to my gallery at this time. Please visit my DA site by going through http://swords.cc for now until we can clear up this problem. For those of you who might want to help right now the login icon is not popping up on my system. I have deleted all cookies, temp files, cookie commands for IE and the pop up stopper. So far all I get is an error page. If you have the same problem or know how to fix it please e-mail me ASAP. I have several pieces I would like to upload here. Thanks - Jazelle | |
