I once had the opportunity to see people from India in their native dress. The colors were amazing! The golds were brilliant against rich reds and deep blacks and I was carried away by their attention to every little detail! To put it flatly, I was standing there with my mouth hanging open and my eyes as round as saucers.
Anyway, it made a beautiful picture there and I was curious. What if unicorns came from countries? Would they be as beautiful and detailed? What if India had a unicorn?

Why in the name of all the pretty little horses has no one commented yet?? This is beautiful! The colors are exactly as you described the colors of the Indian clothing. I like the pose, and the whole thing is very...flowy. You know what song would go with this? Desert Rose by sting. MwaHA! Finally a pic that goes with that gosh-darned song! =D

I agree with Jamie, the song goes with it really well... I love the designs on the horses body, not overly done but still elegant...

8 Michelle B. Lackey replies: "Do you know that I still have not heard that song? Couldn't find it floating around anywhere... time to go to the CD store!!!! lol Thanks for commenting!"

Come to think of it, the pasterns are a little elasticy too. Though you got the mane and tail just perfect

12 Michelle B. Lackey replies: "I see, so they still look a little stiff, right? Makes sense... pasterns?? *dives into horse book* Thank you for the anatomy tips. I think the legs are the hardest and I can use all the tips you can give. Thanks again! *little bow*"

Great use of colour, but the anatomy needs work: the legs look too elastic (I.e. not enough bend in the knee and hock joints)

This is very pretty. Looks very much like a sculpture of a unicorn which is cool.

1 Michelle B. Lackey replies: "A sculpture, eh? Sounds like a nifty idea... if I could sculpt, I'd that in a heartbeat! Never thought of that before, interesting... oops, I'm rambling again! Thanks for the comment-o!"
