Ok, so the scales are a little strange, but it still looks good. I really want to draw better dragons, but there is no way like to practice and bring in some friendly criticism! (I love my wings!)

You are very talented at drawing wings, and so far this is the favorite pair out of your gallery. *rips them off and runs away with them, laughing the laugh of the mentally insane* ^.~
Love the shinyness of the scales, they're like bristles...like a hedgehog or that other pokyish thing...those things can look almost soft sometimes...o.O Innyhoo...Like the pose, very dragon-y. ^.^ You should draw dragons more often.
Oh and you also should know, there's hardly a set way to draw dragons. They can look like almost anything! 2

Ooooooooooooh it be pretteeeeee *pets the dragon* The scales are fine, and the wings are bleedin FANTASTIC! Whats it sitting on out of interest?

2 Michelle B. Lackey replies: "I"m not really sure what it's sitting on. Mostly I was thinking of a sun when I drew it, but my impatience wore out. Perhaps a very large, very orange looking, jewel? 12Thanks for commenting!"

Like a lot of other people, I really admire the wings in this picture. My favorite aspect is their transparency. How did you make them look like that? Also, I really like the colours; they all fit well together. As for constructive criticism, the dragon's right arm seems a bit too long compared to the left one if the left one were extended, but that might just be me 1. That's all, the rest of the pic is beautiful! Great picture!

2 Michelle B. Lackey replies: "To make the wings transparent, I just found a comfortable - uh, pressure with the colored pencil for wing and kept doing each individual panel starting with the back to make the layered effect. Yep, picture done with colored pencils. Oh and the leg... huh, hadn't noticed that before. Indeedy, it's WAY too long! Thanks for pointing that out! Oh, shameless self promotion, I redid this picture with First Blood where I went back and fixed little errors in the picture. Hopefully I fixed the arms, but I don't think the wings came out quite so well. Thanks for coming by!"

I love the wings... they are awesome, and how you made them, I'll have to try it, hey don't be so touchy about it, I really like the scales they are something different, I'll have to try it out, I personaly love to draw dragons, the only thing I have to say is that the tail is a little to dramaticaly sized down when you angle off the rump, it might help if you try to make it more fluid, just a suggestion, don't get mad at me all right?

1 Michelle B. Lackey replies: "I won't get mad, sorry if I seem to sound that way. Picture somebody sitting against the wall with their feet up in the air as they type while grinning ear to ear, okay? That's about what I do! lol Yes, I see what you mean about the dragon tail - it does look like it comes to a sudden stop. I'm trying to decide how to draw the dragons I write about without copying someone else, but lizards are not my strong point. (ain't that obvious? lol) Thanks for dropping by, come again!"

I love the scales, they look like fur!

1 Michelle B. Lackey replies: "Thanks! Interesting that you like the scales since so many seem to like the wings..."

Hrm... I think I much prefer the wings here than in the other black dragon piece. The other has a nicer ball for him to sit on but this has better texture on the body and wings. Very good. ^-^

:-) Michelle B. Lackey replies: "Interesting..."
