| 23 Oct 2007 | David Michael | Loading...This is very well-done picture, and I'd consider it beautiful if it weren't for the symbolism of gluttony. In fact, that may be its one drawback: it's too nice, too pretty. She doesn't look like an addict or a glutton of any kind. A bit lazy, yeah, but for all we know she's just relaxing from a busy day. It would help to give some indication of work around her that she should be doing, but is putting off. Or mounds of food, or something for the addiction side of it. Making her either fat or wasted would help the symbolism, though be less pleasant to look at. But gluttony isn't supposed to be pretty.
Again, I'm saying this because the picture IS pretty, which means artistically you've done a great job. | |
