This is a picture I entered into an Elftown contest in 2003.

Original size A3. Derwent watercolour pencil. Happy Halloween.

My grandmother saw it a while ago. She said she found it very religiously inspiring, something about finding the path to the light. Pardon? I mean, it's a freakin' pumpkin woman dancing under an evil moon! How is that religiously inspiring? Unless, of course, you worship pumpkins or evil moons.

While i am an immense fan of Burton you should know that this piece, if you ask me, has a feel all its own. while i can't quite put my finger on it...i have always loved the dark and playful feel of autumn art not only that but a lover the way this medium looks. excellent piece.
