SciFi and Fantasy Art Jewl by Jessica ´BadCat´ Kelley

A long, long time ago, in an Elftown far, far away... a lass named [Jewl] asked me to draw her character... Jewl.
I said 'Yeah! Sure! That'll be fun!'... but good intentions pave the road to the ice-cream parlour, and hell. A couple of months (5, to be precise), and a few crap sketches later... I eventually pushed it all to the back of my mind. Then one day it all just *worked*.

So yes. Here it is. Hope you like it, Jewl.

I know for a fact that you have a black card sketchbook hiding away somewhere, I think it's about time you put it into proper use, because this picture rocks! I especially love the highlights on the pants... lovely shape to the lass' legs, too. Jessica ´BadCat´ Kelley replies: "Eh. I think it's buried somewhere in Flaxton. I pull it out ocassionally...."

What a wonderful effect you have achieved using the dark paper, it makes the colors look translucent and somehow deeper than they could possibly by on white stock, look at that hair! Girl, you make me wanna shoop Jessica ´BadCat´ Kelley replies: "Oh my... I don't know what 'shoop' means, but it sounds terrifying. Thanks for the comment hon, my ego loves you. "
