This won an Elftown contest called 'From Tunnels of Great Darkness'. Or something.

This is Raven, a raiser of demonic folk. He has this funky little trick of catching people's kisses, and giving them a visual form. (Method: kiss the palm of your hand, blow it to him... he catches it, shakes it about and mutters vaguely, then blows it off his own hand. Kisses can also be stored for later use.) Everyone's kiss is unique, and gives a bit of insight into the owner's personality.
This here is Raven's own kiss, an oozing black fog. He's always been a little bit disturbed by it. Yeah, he sacrifices virgins and whatnot for his own evil purposes, but gets all wussy over his soul being portrayed as oozing darkness. Weird lad.

I love this picture, always have! It's got something to do with his hollow-ish looking cheeks and the blackness oozing from his hand. You are a master... well, mistress... of coloured pencil.

The thing is, Raven has eyes, while the Sandman just has these dark, shadowy spots with glowing pupils. But the face and hair do look strikingly similar. I think he looks more like a male version of how Neil Gaiman portrays Death, the Sandman's sister. But anyway, excellent picture!!!
