Michael the dabbler.

Now passed the 30 mark, still a dabbler. To be honest I havent really done any "art" if you will since I joined here.

I have taken up fotography in hopes of creating new stuff under the influence of fotos, put through computer editing.

For as long as I can remember, I have been best at "copycat'ing". E.g. putting a marvel comic down to my left and my blank sheet of paper on my right and try to copy drawings from the comics. Usually they ended up being wrong proportions and bigger than the comics.

Of cource I have my diddle, scribble, jumble moments like almost anyone and some of them turn into something.

There's no shame is using refference material. That's how I basically learned to draw... by looking at a cool picture and then putting a paper next to it and trying to do the same thing. To get some more origionality you might try taking pictures of people out of magazines, drawing the pose, and then doing your own thing with their clothes, ...looks ...species ...*laugh* To this day I still work best from a pose but I tend to use refferences from the books of nude models that I've bought. That way you can see the body posed right without having to determine where the skin ends and the clothes begin. 19) good luck!

-Michael: Thanks, I have already moved onto trying real photos. The bladesinger in full armor is one I did using a model in a long coat. I really started by drawing ontop of other drawings, when I was way younger hehe.. But so far I'm still best at drawing what I see.

Hey, Bahne! I, too, especially like the waterfall. I teach drawing sometimes, and I agree that you DO need to use reference material. Direct observation is best, but photographs are also good resources. Keep drawing 2

-Michael: Thanks Popple 2 I'll do my best.

So, you're from denmark huh? Me too! Well sorta. Anyway, I think you've got potential here. I think you'll be really good once you can move away from having to use a reference. I still use references myelf actually (sometimes) but only when I see something I would have done differently or think I could do better. But keep practicing and you'll get there before long.

-Michael: Thanks2 I dont get much done these days though. But it wont be long before i pick up a pencil again 2
