This is a picture of a female Necro I did about five years ago when I was playing everquest. I just sat and did it during game downtime. It's a little rough I think but it is pretty old. Don't ask me how the skeleton stays upright with nothing holding it together:)

ACK! *hits skeleton over head with bell* ever read anything by Garth Nix by any chance? The necromancer somehow reminded me of the Abhorsen Trilogy..

For some reason I think that pencil sketches have something that other drawings don’t, simplicity perhaps? When you’re using pencils you don’t faff about; you have to get straight into the picture and make every line count and you have, with the face especially. I get the feeling that there’s a mind behind there and I’m wondering what she’s thinking. Definitely reminded me of the Abhorsen Trilogy. Well done!

I like how you added the head wound to the skeleton. Most of the time there is no clue as to how an undead died in the first place. They’re usually just depicted as a generally dead guy with decay or bones. Adding in the injury that originally killed him definitely adds something in my opinion.
