SciFi and Fantasy Art Ranger by Lauren A. Banks

Been too long since I've drawn an anthro. Anywho, this is a revamp of my old bobcat character, Ranger. Ranger is a gaurd in my Essenia story, and is also a falconer (His bird, Skyler, isn't pictured...obviously ~_^). Ah, the guy in the corner is a lynx character of mine, but I didn't make him look evil enough, so he'll be redone later. Just trying to show that lynx and bobcats are not the same thing. Ignore Ranger's arms. They're way too long. Monkey arms! :D

10 Mar 2004	Anonymous	Loading... Hi love your art. Were did you learn to draw like that?Hey thanks. ^^ Learn to draw like that? Well, I've been doodling since I can remember, so it's been a long process of practice and more practice. ^^ Also, I like a cartoony-realism sort of look, and often study from life or photos until I get a good idea of how an animal is structured, then I can start drawing it without photo aid like Ranger here. There's still a ton of room for improvement though, so practice I continue to do. ^_^ I don't have an easy answer for you, I didn't buy a book that told me "this is how you should draw" (I'd be too lazy to read one anyway XD), just...draw lots.

13 May 2004	Vulpecula (AKA Faolan84)	Loading... Is this a newer one? Definitely up to you usual standards, your anthro characters have a wonderful range of expression! BTW From what I know, a bobcat is a type of lynx (lynx rufus) but you're right, they're not technically the same thing.
