I love it... The color of the eye is beautiful. Is that blood??

Joseph, I thank you for telling me a little about how you do your works...and "Sue" I too, thank you for your views in the beginning and after you tried it yourself...I have dabbled in most mediums and found that digital...I use Adobe...is my best friend...it allows me the freedom of correcting many mistakes that I normaly have to errase out with a pencil and try to darken in the wrong lines too dark to be errased...lol The way I use Adobe is very similar to using oils I suppose....I paint them with the brush tool...and hardly ever use any filters..if at all...
The digital world is not an easy one as some may think...show me an artist who says it is easy and I'll show you a person who isn't at all truthful...it is my favorite medium though...but it is only because I have taken 2 1/2 years to figure it out...lol...and still learning...
Joseph...there is no way anyone who hasn't used a computer to paint with could ever understand how tough it is...unless they tried it...and I use a mouse to paint with as well...no graphic pen....
I thank you for posting these wonderful works...and extend a hand to you...brother Adobe user...take care...and by all means keep on doing the best you have already done...we just want to see more...

first and foremost, i really like this pic. it makes you want to look into her eye and see where she's been.
coming from a person who can barely draw stick people (including on the computer!!!) - the only problem i have ever had with computer generated pics is that the color sometimes has a surreal effect, which i don't care for. other than that, there are some truly wonderful pieces floating around Lothlorien!
Art is in the eye of the beholder and it speaks to who it speaks to. I envy those with the ability whether it be drawing freehand or making magic with a computer program.
I recall the days of basic when it took me days to get a character to jump across the screen!
Again - to the artist - wonderful job!

ok... usually I try to avoid this whole discussion on traditional vs digital. Mainly cos I don`t care.
C++.. I don`t quite know why I`m addressing this part to you since you`re obviously just trying to get some kind of response. Anyone can learn to use computer art software true. But then anyone can learn to use a pencil or a paintbrush. You can teach someone the techniqiues. But You can NEVER teach someone to have talent and be able to do it well. No matter how good the software is.
Joseph.. sorry to use your comments board to sound off on that.
Your pic reminds me a lot of a Luis Royo pic, I won`t pretend otherwise there... but that doesn`t make it bad at all. Far from it. It gives us a pic to compare it to and see how good Fire Eye really is. If that makes sense to anyone but me lol. As long as the blood goes I would say that maybe a few light spots on them splatters to make it look wet or darker patches might just get rid of that painted feel. I really like the reflection in the eye itself. It`s like she`s looking at a city in flames. Maybe her enemies and she`s thinking "was it worth it".

Love the inspiration. Luis Royo is the best. I own three of his art books myself. Keep up the great work.

wow - everyone certainly seems to have a lot to say about this peice, but I'll just go with saying its beautiful...like she's looking right into your soul. I love the way you draw women - like expressing women in the form we like to be, beautiful, dangeruos, intelligent etc.
