| 18 Jul 2003 | Jeremy D Dixon | Dont give up man, Dont just take some fools word for it. Some of the moderators really have issues and think that they are like godlike.. ( fraid not people ) Dont let some fool on a powertrip tell you that your art isnt good, Just resubmit mate ( had to do it myself on quite a few occasions ) and hope that this time u dont get an A-hole. Dont leave, PS: get back to me about the art trade already | |
| 18 Jul 2003 | Sarah Moule | AWWW BRANDON!!! dont give up man!!! never give up! You might have just got a moderator in a bad mood.. resubmit and see what happens. I have had my stuff rejected heaps of times.. and yeah i got REALLy pissed off. But i thought.. bugger that im trying again! You really are a great artist! Never EVER let anybody make you think otherwise! And like i said, dont give up! Resubmit the work.. and you will most likely get a different moderator. And if it happenes again, i will personally send an email to Thomas himself asking why its not posted. I hope it all works out for you dood!... but let me know if it doesnt!! hehe Lots of Love ~Sarah~ | |
| 18 Jul 2003 | Margaret Bashaar | *looks at the above comment and sighs* I'm sorry hon. *hugs* You need to send me the address to the new website that you go to. Perhaps deviantart? If you haven't checked them out, try it.
I did see the new rule posted, but it didn't say that you had to have "good" art for it to be put up on Elfwood, it merely stated that your artwork had to show that you had put some time into it. I know that you have put time into all of your artwork, so this blind rejection upsets me. *more hugs*
| 18 Jul 2003 | Brandon M Becker | Hey guess What Guys? I tried to update my site and this is what happened.
* Sorry, Please note that Elfwood has strict rules when it comes to what kind of material we let into different areas. We're a site dedicated to Fantasy and Science Fiction, and some material you have chosen to submit does not fit here.
Well, this is below our quality standards. // Thomas Elfwood Ticket #198136 was rejected and nothing will be published! This was decided by a moderator at Thu Jul 17 10:48:15 2003
==> dragon.jpg was rejected! Reason: Item quality not acceptable. ==> trefearium.jpg was rejected! Reason: Item quality not acceptable ==> wolf.jpg was rejected! Reason: Item quality not acceptable.
Apparently my artwork is no loner good enough for elfwood! Or maybe it's just not good enough for "THOMAS". This is the same type of work I have always posted on this site. I realize that I may not the best artist on Elfwood, and I realize my drawings aren't of the same style as most of the members. But I thought elfwood was cool with that sort of thing. I guess I was wrong and I guess I will be taking my artwork elsewhere. To all of you out there who actually LIKE my work, Sorry, but don't expect anymore updates. If you know of a way to complain about this to elfwood, feel free. If not, oh well. I'm out of here.
| 21 Jul 2003 | Nathaniel Roy(Guy) Pamintuan | Well, this a peculiar little page. Don't take it the wrong way though. I like it. Its very unique and the first of its kind I've seen so far. Me like the skeleton warrior thing! Keep drawing. | |
| 22 Sep 2003 | Marina Gardner | *ROFL* I have another krazy idea! How about you draw....ON PAPER! *booo* PCs are too easy. *MGG Brandon M Becker replies: "Actually, if you look around on Elfwood, you'll find alot of people draw by hand becouse drawing on the computer is HARDER! Take a look for yourself. . ." | |
| 7 Jul 2004 | ADHD chik <brynna@nob...com> | drawing on computer is harder i tried once. and its ok that you drew ON yur computer instead of ON a program within your computer I did that once too. but no one told m to I just thought it would be fun. Your art is ..... different, but i like it i have some art like it go to the site www.ppdf.com and you'll see my great computer art (in the comic strip) ok BYE | |
| 24 Feb 2006 | J. Post (Rosesred) | I'm having a very big smile on my face after going through your gallery. Thanks for putting it there! Brandon M Becker replies: "No Problem! I'm always glad to help " | |
| 9 Dec 2006 | Bloodhawk | Thanks for commenting on my gallery!
I'm a little stuck here at the moment, because I can't decide which pieces to comment on, a general comment may well do...
I'll start by saying that you've got an interesting place running here! Your choice of medium is unique, and I like that, it has great potential. You've got a nice sense of colour and some great ideas going on! If you're using a mouse to draw right now, though, I'd suggest employing the use of a wacom tablet, which will give you steadier and more control over your lines. Never-the-less, you've got a good early grasp on anatomy which can certainly be developed well. It's looking good! Keep it up - I'd love to see more!
And I'm left tempted to go have a go on Paint myself now...cheers! =D
| 22 Feb 2007 | Marjolein de Jong | Thank you for all your comments (sorry that I didn't respond so early ^^; but I'm on the moment more on DeviantArt) | |
