The final pic of my sci-fi character Skye Oliver Hölle. when he was not a Zombie and all. Though still trying to take over the world!

This is my most advanced portrait yet, I promised by my birthday the 15 march I'd be able to construct a perfect face, - proportions N' stuff. I thought I'd also try a bit of realistic shading... It's hard... It's a nightmare, and I never get it right.

I made that promise after I made the portrait of Rawenwulf, which I was quite proud of... Which I also deleted from this gallery.. Damn.... Then I made the one of Zicoa, which I deleted too... Cause it was totally screwed up Then the one of Zpikey.... And then this one, my pride, I guess it was worth the lazy effort :D.

About Skye, the best part of working with him was designing the features. One of the reasons I never draw portraits of celebrities is cause I prefer to design the features myself... And they always end up.. BAD. My last and first attempt was of Tom Cruise when I was 14, it ended up so bad that I just wanted to poke my eyes out and burn the damn thing...

Yeah, the features. First of the basic facts, Skye's dad was a Greek general with a kind of angry & strong look on his face, while his mother is a gorgeous hollywood diva whit bright eyes. I decided to give him most of his mothers features, like the eyes, and the blond hair. The square like shape of the head and the poky jaw bones are from his father side, so is the lips. The nose which also his brother have is... errr... undecided. And all in all I wanted him to look kind and sweet. Though when he got shot by his wife and brought back to life by his brother three months later.. he didn't look to sweet... Zombies tend to look grim...

A4, 8b-6h pencils, three days of hard work... Cause I didn't have anything better to do - in my life, whoho.

I'll choose to ignore that statement as I have no idea what you're talking about and, furthermore, you're probably not talking about me anyway.

*squinty eyes*

Why'd you delete your old pics J? I've never seen a half-ass job from you! Raw, raw talent yes, but never a half assed approach. Lovely name for this character, the shading looks awesome and the features are excellent! Great hair tone against the darker skin too, not too dark, not too light.

I could go on.

Perfect work!

OH MY GOD! You draw the hottest men! He is just frickin' gorgeous J.! I could stare at this dude for hours.

And I am jealous of your penciling. 14

How are you by the way? Ain't heard from in you in a dog's age.

:-) J. Anette Jallow replies: "Thaaaaaaaaaaaaanks Melanie!!! most of my friends thinks he looks like a lady, cause of the fact that he has his mothers eyes.. sheesh what ever.
I'm fine, I'm just a little bit lazy, too lazy to log in at times, and my pc is fucked, some people with two legs working for a company suppose to repair it... its been two weeks, and I hate the schools crapy old "pc's", as they dare to call them... They should've been in a museum.... "

I like him, the detail in the face and hair is really good and the expression in his eyes is quite innocent and interesting. It is also a quite striking picture, overall.

This is outstanding work! You are a wizard with a pencil and the shading is divine. I am mesmerized by the many wonderful details like the highlights in his hair and that endearing cleft in his chin. The strong values really enhance his features and lend a sense of mystery to the portrait.

He does have an angelic face: strong cheekbones, very mobile mouth, defiant chin, but the eyes...the eyes are intense, and...

...somewhat menacing.

If I were face to face with him ( I wish! ) I might feel slightly nervous about the thoughts going thru his head.

I have always loved your portraits. I have one coming in an update any day now. I would be so honored if you would come and see it and give me your opinion. I'll let ya know when it's posted. Okay?
