A friend of mine has recently been working on a project that has dragons in a modern day setting. He theorized that some of the largest dragons would be those that adapted to life in the oceans, far from humanity's reach. That got me thinking....and drawing.

Very cool! I've had the same type of idea floating around my head for a couple weeks. I wanted to try to retain the grace of the dragons mucled legs and everything while adapting it to be a good swimmer. I think you managed that quite well. You've also done a great coloring job! Take a look at my gallery in a month or two and you might see my version of an aquatic dragon. 19)

*cries* WHY are you so much better than me? WHY?!?!??!?! *sniffle* anywhom, this is an awesome concept, I've always wanted to be able to draw water-type draggies (heck, I'll settle for being able to draw dragons. Period.)And you have pulled it off perfectly!

hmmmm...makes you wonder, if the dragon lives underwater can it still breath fire? Or does it have some kind of aquatic version?

I think It's a great piece except for its limbs. A water going reptile would have to have very strong limbs to be able to propel itself through water wich is relatively very viscous. So with the fins you have given it it would be a very slow creature in won't be biologicly feasible since it won't be able to survive. You may think that I'm to precise. But i think if you would draw anything that doesn't "exist" you must pay real attention to what does so you can compare and see if it would be realistic, Like this piece can be compared to a "Liopleurodon" which is an extinct type of ocean going reptile.
