SciFi and Fantasy Art Quetzal from ´Song Quest´ by Katy Bellamy


	Another picture inspired by Katherine Roberts' 'Song Quest'. This didn't turn out quite right - ideally, the arms should resemble wings more, and the face should be more delicate and bird-like (less like a human face with a beak glued on!) but I suppose it works.

[wonders dimly what a first comment dance is] It may lack some of that Quetzal grace, but it is still a really pretty representation of one. Have you done any merlee? [khiz-stinking fish-people!] I'd love to see more Echorium art! Katy Bellamy replies: "Yeah, my characters seem to always turn out stocky even when they're supposed to be lithe and slim! Oh well! I haven't drawn any merlee yet, but I'm sorely tempted..."
