| 21 Jun 2002 | Margaret Breidenbaugh | Hello. I am doing family research. Do you know anything about your immediate family's origins? | |
| 20 Jul 2002 | Otaku | I like this page a lot, you've got loads of imagination and...uh stuff... The thing about ppl saying you have no talent: Ignore them, when Picasso wasn't famous yet ppl said stuff like that to him too ^_~ (that HE had no talent of course!)Keep up the good work! | |
| 22 Jul 2002 | Bunny Hunter <bunny12913@aol...com> | I apologize for my harsh criticism, Ben. It was out of line. I was wrong. I'm sorry. My site prolly hasn't improved since you last saw it and it prolly never will, not that I expect anyone to visit it... it IS krap afterall ~_0
There was a reason why I was so cruel, well two. One, cheesy self-promotions like "I like your work, why not come to my site and look at mine" never works, and if it works it gets no intelligent response.
Two, a criticism always has an effect. Whether being a common, negative comeback, insult, or the tossing of tomatoes, I find out more from reading responses to my criticisms then to compliments. How can I improve upon comments? Though a thorough belittling of my talents and hobbies would have probably helped me more, your response was the most intelligent I've read so far. It's better then the common "Your site blows, you should kill yourself" that I always get.
If you can't forgive me, I understand. I am the bad guy afterall, since several people have rallied against me on your little board ^_^()
But, if you ever want to answer this in any way can you answer me this: What is wrong with my artwork?

| 3 Nov 2003 | Malvano | There are a couple of things I want to say, which I think you are making huge mistakes about. 1). You are WAY too egotistical about your art. I used to be extremely egotistical, and I thought that I drew extremely well. That was like three years ago, and now I'm more pessemistic about my art. Be more pessemistic, that's how you improve!!!! 2). Though your stories are fun, they are still derivative of almost anything in movies and comercials on TV. 3). Practice practice practice. I can't emphasise this enough, as this is the only way people improve their art. 4). Do live figure sketching of people etc, your proportions are off. 5). Though you probally draw better than the average joe, don't get too caught up on that fact. That leads to arrogance, and bloated ego. Increase in skill will increase your confidence, and not your ego. Have fun | |
| 22 Dec 2003 | Tanja | Hello! I like your stuff and your comic are great! Also liked your tutorial But; I think you should spend more time on each picture - I guess most of 'em took around one or two hours. Personally I usually spend 12 to 30 hours at my work. Well, thats what art is about! Patience. Another tip is to NEVER get to happy with your work. I'm never happy with my results. Thats the thing that makes me keep practicing. I get angry because of things I cant do - then I'm trying again. And again. Don't stop before you can do what you want to do. Patience | |
