I looked at this one again, recently (it's from forever ago) and realized two things:
1. I really like it, and
2. It sucks hard.
So, I've fixed or tweaked a lot of the things that bugged me, chiefly in the area of the face (she looked like a dominatrix, and not a pretty one at that), and the leg (she had no knee, which makes walking somewhat problematic).

I don't see an aura. I see the light from the magic she's got at the tip of her arrow. (Are they light arrows, like in Zelda?) Anyways, about leg muscle and having no but and whatever was mention before.. she doesn't -hafta- have all that.. I mean hell, some chics -are- really skinny and seemingly have no butt, and have legs as skinny and straight as that.

:-) Benny M. Ware replies: "Granted it looks a little better since I gave her a knee. She looked like Archer Gumby before."

Nice. The light on the arrow gives the picture a cool effect. I like the shading on it. The coloring is awesome. And I am rambling. ^_^ So I'll finish this off with a: Cool picture, I really like it.

:-) Benny M. Ware replies: "Aaaaarrrright! Me draw good! Group hug!"

How did you do the coloring?

:-) Benny M. Ware replies: "I used the lasso tool in PSP, set the feather to 3-ish and the mode to polygonal, then clicked around the edges of the lines I made and painted inside the selection. Just like the ancient Egyptians did it!"

Okay, since I subscribe to the theory of chaos, I will do my criticisms first this go-around. Chiefly, you can barely make out the fact that she's holding a bow. Being the stupid individual that I am, I thought for a few moments that she was just casting a spell. Then I figured it out. Secondly...oh wait, that was my only criticism. Yeah, yet another uber-hot (I like that phrase, no?) chick from you! I never saw the first edition of this pic, but I find it hard to believe she was ever unattractive! By the way, lacking knees was never a problem for jellyfish, my man!

:-) Benny M. Ware replies: "And I have seen some damned fine-looking jellyfish, too. D'oh! on the bow...I thought it was just my laptop screen. I think it works better as one word, since it is German. Uberhot!"

Well she's certainly pretty now. I love her silvery hair. She looks a little short to me though. Great job. I like it.

:-) Benny M. Ware replies: "She IS a little short. But then again, ain't we all?"

The first thing that came to mind was neat "magic arrow" effect. I am not an artist, not do I have the training or knowledge to provide suggestions on technique. However, two things come to mind:

1) The LARP I'm in uses a version of actual shoot-'em archery, and most long-haired archer-types I know tie back their hair back in some way. One of them had a bit of her hair get caught in the nock...

2) The quiver seems too short for the arrow I see used.

That's just the constructive critisism. My eye did not initially notice the actual bow, but my mind insisted there must be one. Her stance all but REQUIRES that she is about to fire a bow. I firmly believe that if you removed the bow from the picture, during a quick glance my mind would add it in without my realizing it.

What if you added a bit of a breeze into her face? From my gaming experiences nothing says 'uh-oh' quite like a sudden draft underground.

:-) Benny M. Ware replies: "::Laughs:: Okay, I'll keep that in mind. Funny, I never even thought about her hair or the quiver. I've taken archery, but my hair isn't long enough to worry about that stuff, so I never considered it. And I'd agree, a good updraft would help. Although...she'd be pulling a Marylin Monroe. Not by any means a bad thing, I guess."
