It just adds more to the plot



The place you seek may be very far

The path there will show you the way

The quest you seek isn't that hard

Not to me, anyway

But then again if you don't figure it out you're a retard

Basic? Yes, but still would make a oerfect little jig if used in the right context, not like i the middle of the battlefield, but you know, prouncing around in the forest on a nice sunny day.

But then again if you don't figure it out your a retard...hehehe... I liked that part, it was unexpected. That poem sorta reminded me of a boy in my art class, always making up crazy stuff. Truthfully though....I don't like him at all. He's annoying...very annoying. But your a pretty nice guy, so this poems cool!

this is perfect for the story!!! I can imagine a little leprechaun kind of elf annoyng that hero-guy (whatever) with this song quest somewhere in the woods... Yeah, I've got weird imagination...

this is pretty good! sounds like a pixie ditty to me if I ever saw one xD One thing I would work on a little more is the rhythm on part of it, where it says "If you can’t figure it out you’re a retard", but otherwise its great!
Speaking of which (This isn’t criticism, just personal opinion) I don’t know about others on this site with similar situations, but that part about the retard was just a little on the offensive side for me. Because, I have a multiple-needs sister who’s severely physically /and/ mentally disabled, so, you might want to fix that so others don’t get offended on behalf of other friends or family, or just "retards" in general. 2 again, not criticizing you there, because I love the rest of it! ^^
