| 17 Sep 1999 | Brad Kaufman | Hi Alexendre. I read your story and I must say it's not bad. I read a comment on your by someone that said you need more description. I'm a fledgeling writer myself and suffer the same problem. DO NOT give up hope on your desire to write. I haven't taken any classes on writing so I'm sure there are other areas where I slack; which is why I use this website. I use this website to get feedback on how I can improve my writing. My philosophy is that classes are a waste of time. There is no right or wrong way to write, period! There are certain elements that provide for a well written story and those can be developed through practice, practice, practice. It's like teaching yourself to play guitar (like I did). Sure you can take lessons, but there's enough information available to teach yourself and develop your own identity. I feel the same applies to writing. Hopefully I didn't ramble too much. Hang in there and KEEP WRITING! | |
| 13 Jun 2001 | Jelmer Peter Folkert Huttenga | So you wanna be a writer. Seems to me you allready are! Nice stuff, though maybe you shoudl become a Time-Twister too, for then you have lots of time to write more! I just started two days ago, so I'm very ahppy (naughty keyboard). Anyway, I know how the unfinished stories routine goes, writing one and getting the idea for another, completely (partially, most of the time) neglecting the other one!
I wish you ab etter keybaord than mine, my neighbour!
