Thursday, 7th May, 2009 -- Elfwood has been so good to me over the years. Among the shelves of the Wyvern's Library I found a wonderful community of people who have not only supported me in my writing but become wonderful friends. Many of the writers who formed that community have moved on from Elfwood and now I'm finding it's time for me to do likewise.
An enormous thank you to everyone who has stopped by and left comments, or even simply enjoyed my writing. It has really meant so much to me. I can still be reached via the links on this page and am always happy to keep in touch with new readers and old.
Again, thankyou all so very, very much.
Sometimes I find that when I rock up to someone's Wyvern's Shelf I find that I am at a loss as to where to begin and what stories relate to each other. So here is a bit of a map so that you can find your way around here.
As is probably obvious, Awakening is the major work here. It was written over a number of years, so the quality is quite uneven. On finishing it, I also discovered I needed to write a few extra chapters in order to get rid of an infodump so stay tuned for those. One year.
Peripherally related are Ariel and the Lionar and Invocation, both of which are poems about or written by the characters. A Word to the Wise: Interspecies Communication, is a faux academic essay also written by the main character of Awakening.
Despite what it looks like, the pieces entitled Subversion are not part of a whole but are a series of very short stories along a similar theme.
For other short stories try Blue Moon, Dragonsfire, Gabriel and Ariel (NOT the same Ariel as in Awakening, just an early use of the same name), Dear Imagination, Petals of a Starflower: Cara's Tale, Rhiannon, The Seer, Universal Truth and What You Will.
If you are more of a poetry person, besides the ones I already mentioned try An Angel's Tear, A Final Farewell: Aschensa'ar Nailo, Distance, The Dream WIthin, Incomplete Poetry, The Invigilators, Sahaquiel: The Angel of the Skies, and The Tempest
