Sirens in Greek mythology (see the Odyssey) were woman-headed birds who attracted sailors with heavenly songs to feed on their blood. In modern times, sirens are often confused with merfolk. I wanted to depict both types, and also a hopeless love-and what could be more impossible than a fish falling in love with a bird? Throwing himself onto the cruel rocks he holds his breath for one kiss...just one...

I think this picture is very romantic and I love the style it is in. Hey.... I usually confuse sirens with harpies, but hey, people confuse different things (or is that just me).

this is absolutely amazing there is just so much detail in everything.
I am a fan of Greek mythology and such and i love your version of a siren.
