Tag As FavoriteComment		A couple of merhorses prancing around. I've been wanting to post this for ages... Well, better late than never! An Xmas gift in 2005 for my sis. It had to be removed from its frame in order to be photographed; now it's back on the wall. Since we celebrate Xmas as the rebirth of the Sun (as pre-Christian cultures did) the pic had to involve romance and symbols of fertility and power. Get it? ;-) 

Silver, white & gold Faber-Castells on black paper.

Once again a big WOW! All these "Christmas present" pictures are very beautiful and I wanted to comment at least one of them. I chose this because I love those curly waves and manes of sea horses.

...Wow. Just amazing. This is what I meant when I said I love when you do pictures with water creatures or that are just water themed. You were the person who inspired me to start drawing hippocampuses.

I love the way the water is just represented in curls and curves. It's so pretty. AND ANNNND. I've always LOVED your wonderbirds, I'm so happy to see another one!

What really caught my eye is the way the manes are full of movement and more substantial than the bodies. The positive and negative space between the merhorses really plays with the eye in a fun way.
