No, no, no. The picture is good, but it won't do as a
Tarot card. The Hierofant is not a Shaman, but the Pope.
Therefore, it won't do. Absolutely. Sorry...

Actually, check out http://newage.about.com/culture/newage/library/weekly/aa090198.htm?iam=mt
According to them (and others), any spiritual leader can fill the position of the hierophant and it is only the European tarot decks that portray the Pope. Often, it is the High Priest, the Druid, the Pope, etc. Sorry. I consider a Shaman to be a legitimate depiction for this card.

Understood. And still, the Shaman does not seem to be
an appropriate symbol to me... But the picture is gorgeous.

I think this is a very viable heirophant..I have seen many tarot decks that vary from the traditional and "correct" versions of what we perceve to be tarot, one even completely of native American symbolism..it is lovely, and I think it is a wonderful world we live in that we can deviate from what has been traditional which is only traditional because that is what we found first..

you could make your smoke animals more smoky by shading them like you did the man in the moon.

Look at someone smoking and you will notice that smoke swirls and at first puff it has a definate outline until it diffuses and becomes thin. Just my $.02.
