Graphite bows to you. ^_^ Robin Butler replies: "It makes me sad when I’m so late replying to comments. Ah well - I like bare toes. Especially on gods/goddesses. Perhaps because I’m bad at drawing sandals?? I dunno. Still - bare feet make me happy if I can draw them successfully. Thanks for the lovely comment!"

I’m glad that you made her look a real lady and not a Valkyrie-like warrioress... there are enough Valkyries on Elfwood (just take a look at my page . Especially the fabric looks very good. Robin Butler replies: "Well, from all the mythology I’ve read myself (admittedly, that’s not as much as it should have been to do such a well-known figure) Freyja wasn’t a Valkyrie. She was the goddess of love (and beauty, I think). Anyhow - not a warrior.
Thanks for the comment!"

Her knowing smile is a nice touch too. Robin Butler replies: "Thanks for the comment! I still like this one. It was an area of exploration for me - it’s good to know that other people appreciated it too."

| 10 Jun 2009 | Moa Rĺhlander | Loading...Nice work, very close to the viking clothing style acctually. Freja was for the vikings the sister of Frej, or "Frö" they were together gods of love and fertility. They were the childen of Njord from Noatun and together with him they were held "peace hostages" by Asarna (the nordic gods) after Asarnas war with Vanerna, other nordic gods. Robin Butler replies: "Thank you! " | |
