SciFi and Fantasy Art Axe of the Elder Fire Elemental by Joshua Doten Davids

Well to say this is a little more detailed then what I normally draw is an understatement. Yes I can already here the comments, it is a fantasy weapon wielded by an elder elemental not what you would take into battle on earth in the middle ages. Ok with that out of the way.

I just sat down and started sketching about an hour later this is what was left on the paper. The story behind this one I will put up a bit later when I write the full thing out, but it will be part of a set someone a while ago asked for a set of axes of the elements. I already got the water one done too, but seeing what kind of comments I get here will depend on if I put up the other four.

The powers of the axe. Well it gives immunity to all types of fire, also allows the wielder to heal using flames. It can summon an elder fire elemental and lets just say this unless you have high fire resistance you don’t want to be even touched by the blade of this axe, can you say crispy critter. Hope you all like it.

Btw any good suggestions for a name for it?
