	This is the sword someone requested, a bastard sword with celtic designs on it, a cross for the pommel knob and a knot on the hilt. At the size I drew it I couldn't put as much detail as I wanted to in the knot, eventually I will work up a bigger size one and put it up here. I finally managed to get it down onto paper.

Joshua Doten Davids replies: "a bastard sword is supposedly a cross between two sword types, a hand and a half sword and a broad sword, hence the name bastard. it is a really large sword and very brutal, though normally thinner then what i have it drawn as."
10 Apr 2003	Lisa Eshkenazi	Loading... Love it. I'm a sucker for this type of sword (not bastard so much as just straight blade swords as opposed to the curved blades). Egads, I love those little spiky parts on the lower part of the blade. I need to pick your brain for weapon designs next time I draw a sword bearing character. Fantastic gallery--I would comment more but I have to make an important phonecall. I'll try to remember to come back. Thanks for the comment you left in my gallery!! Joshua Doten Davids replies: "thank ya, yeah i prefer the straight blades as well hence why i have as yet to draw a katana. i got one straight blade sword waiting to be shaded in and scanned, might be able to get it done soon. any time you want a sword design done up just for one of you characters to draw out i can sketch it and send it to you."
