| 9 Sep 2003 | Halondiyr Morbannaon | Loading...My character in our D&D campaign wields such a blade, Ithilnaur, and I've been searching all over the net to find a picture that captured the eloquence of the elven artisans who crafted the moonblades. This is the only picture I've found that really shows how I've always pictured the blades to look. Your work is stunning. Joshua Doten Davids replies: "thank ya, i have always heard about the moonblades but never saw a descent drawing of them and just one day decided to do one help and here it is, might rework it one day on a bigger piece of paper so i can put alot more detail into it." | |
| 25 Sep 2003 | Elminster | Loading...A Forgotten Realms fan, are ye? Well, no doubt, thy pictures certainly show ye to be a talented artist with much potential, and this Old Mage has only one piece of advice to offer: in future drawings, try experimenting with some colour. The drawings are fine as is, but I think ye could make them truly spectacular if they had some color or were perhaps digitally enhanced. I know I'd want to see it. Good work - keep it up, and good luck on future drawings. I've got my eye on you. - El. Joshua Doten Davids replies: "yep big fan of the realms stuff, got nearly all of the books right now, just managed to get the entire harper series though i am behind on the books, need to read like twenty or so. i am planning on breaking out my colored pencils and trying a go at one sword with them to see how rusty i might be, keep watch never know what you might see in here. though i might redo the moonblade just to get a better detailed blade, well in the future anyways." | |

| 25 Jan 2004 | Anonymous | Loading...My character, Zegax Thoreau, weilded a mighty sword called "The Moonblade" It was quite long, 12 to 14 feet, and it had so many magical functions. The weilder could summon an floating cart, call a protection of evil or good around them. Teleport doors could be summoned. The character's dimensions could increase making them giant-like. Spells cast by magic-users & clerics could be neutralized by the energy field the sword emanated. The sword had a magical storage capacity that would be drained as you used it's functions. This "tank" could be refilled. All the functions of the sword were brought about by chanting a single word. The sword was super sharp and it seemed to be quite successful at disposing of evil characters/creatures. My characted never realized the full potential of the blade but it saved his hide numerous times. The greatest weapon my DM ever created. Thanks Ed!!!! In closing, I'll say Wraith and fly off!!! | |
| 29 May 2004 | DMB† | Loading...Perfect picture. One question, I just read Elfshaodw, and according to the book, a moonblade is suppose to have a moonstone. Is the gem in the center of the handguard the moonstone?
