SciFi and Fantasy Art Gas Extractor by Bjørn Grimsmo

Gas Extractors like these are utilized by independent corporations as well as warring empires to gather valuable fuel for warships. It's not an easy job, believe me! You have to keep a hundred people alive inside, without them getting bored or falling off the deck (you'd fall for weeks). And how do you gather the gas? I expect you use those big pipe thingys underneath. Not easy, that either. You have to search for weeks for patches of pure gas in the middle atmosphere, and then there's a one month ascend to the orbital relay station.
This was my third picture. I have used Blender, Photoshop and Terragen.
