In late 1944, a bunch of aeromancers, crypto-mechanics and planemages were left behind by their squadron for a wide range of reasons, most including drunkenness. The outcasts subsequently threw a big party to celebrate their freedom and/or woe their dispossession. Around 1 A.M. most of them were in a general state of 'Hey, lessgo an shuw dem Jerries sum real stuff, hur?', and spent the small hours of the morning pulling together this machine from the airfield's junkyard.
How they managed to get the freaking thing airborne is beyond me (I had my eyes closed at the moment), but whatever. Here they are, it's 9 o' clock in the morning, and they've just entered combat zone over eastern France. It doesn't seem quite as good an idea now. There's a nasty draft through the bullet holes, raw magic is leaking from the thaumaturgical seams, and the mother-in-law of all hangovers has come knocking.

This is my 6th picture, the first that has been made completely in Blender 3D. The textures for plane and ground, and some special effects, were made in Photoshop. Here's a meld of seven different WW2 aircraft, of which at least 4 should be clearly recognizable. Can you find them?

Front half of the fuselage looks to be a Liberator, back half a Flying Fortress. Smiley face wing I can't do better than from some kind of American medium bomber. German wing Me 262. On the port wing what appears to be a Hurricane engine.

That's as much as I can guess.

:-) Bjørn Grimsmo replies: "Three of four right; the engine is based on a Spitfire. The smiley wing is a Mitchell (not too easy to tell apart from a Marauder), while the blackened wing is a Ju88. The gun turret is loosely based on the Mitchell one, but is mostly my own design."

lol, this is one of the most crazy and f-uped plane pictures I have ever seen! Great work... but I would never ever put my foot inside that one!
